Kühtai, the highest ski village in Austria, offers in the summer a very healthy climate, a stunning scenery high in the mountains, rest and relaxation. Especially in the month of June, when the slopes around the town turn red from the many alpine roes, a unique natural area.
Mountain Sports
A valley that is suitable for various mountain sports, and has very large opportunities for hiking through the valley and on the mountains, and challenging routes and trails for mountain biking. Water Sports
The indoor pool in Axams is not far from the valley. For swimming in the open air, there are various possibilities nearby such as in Innsbruck, in Inzing and in Völs, or for example in Lake Natter or Lake Piburg in the Ötztal . Rafting is offered e.g. in the Ötztal , For Example in Sautens and Ötz.
Recommendation
Reservoir Finstertal is completed by a 149 meters high wall. The reservoir is filled through the pump station by rainwater and melt water in spring and summer and during the winter the reservoir is used to generate electricity.
