Sölden is a true mountaineering paradis in the summer, and the village offers an abundance of activities including mountain biking, paragliding, mountain hiking, and summer skiing and snowboarding on the Rettenbach Glacier and Tiefenbach Glacier.

Sölden is the beating heart of the Ötztal. You can say that tourism in the valley takes place here for a large part. It is a very touristy village with many facilities.

Are you looking for more tranquility during your holiday in summer or winter, than the other villages in the Oetztal are probably a better destination.

And you should of course do thatr, if you want to enjoy the Alpine countryside, because here you are pretty high, so for example in the middle of the large nature reserve, which covers a large part of the mountains of the Oetztal.

Mountain Sports

Water Sports
Deep blue lakes await you, surrounded by mountains filled with alpine roses, and beautiful rocks.

Real water sports is here (obviously) not offered, but who cares at the sight of such beauty.

Indeed, Ötzi the Iceman was wandering around here long ago.

The Ötztal is incidentally not really big, and the other villages are also easily accessible.

The advantage is that you can also visit the other attractions and can go hiking or mountain biking elsewhere in the valley.

Sölden is very touristy village, especially in the winter months, and partly because of this, the village has huge facilities.

So shops, cafes, supermarkets, bars, and so on.

Through these great facilities, it is a charming village, with attractive terraces in the summer, and a very good apres ski in the winter months, and you can therefore enjoy your well earned holiday.
