Weiten lies between the highest mountains in the south of the Waldviertel.
Weiten lies between the Jauerling and the Ostrong, the two highest mountains in the south of the Waldviertel.
The village lies also in one of the richest and most beautiful valleys of Lower Austria, the Weitental, the valley of the sun hours.
The mild climate, but also the proximity of the Wachau and the spicy air of the Waldviertel, make the village ideal for enjoying the warm summer days, in a region of wooded hills and pastures.
Mountain Sports
Around the village especially the themed trails are very popular such as a walk through the universe, the so-called Planet Trail.
Water Sports
In the various villages in the region, various water sports are possible, including fishing in great waters, or swimming in for example Freibad Mandlgupf.
The Mollenburg, Jugendburg and the parish church.
Worth seeing is the Gothic parish church, with its towers, which are somewhat outside the church. The ruins Mollenburg and the Jugenburg are also worth visiting.
