However, the real water sports takes place elsewhere. The numerous wild rivers and waterfalls, are the ideal area for sports such as rafting and canyoning.

The best tips and Attractions

The land of Heidi in the Swiss Alps.
Graubünden is best known thanks to the book by Johanna Spyri, about the little girl Heidi, Grandpa and goat peter. The story still has nothing lost of the original magic after more than 120 years.

In many places you can experience the story and really see how Heidi must have lived. The Heidi village and the Heidi house, are huge crowd pullers and you can visit the original house. The village also has a post office with special Heidi postmarks.

But there are in the region of course still much more inspiring sights to see, like for example the Bündner Museum of Art and the Rhaetian Museum in Chur, the Land Wasser Viaduct in Filisur, the highest bridge of the Rhaetian Railroad and the monastery of St. John in the Münster Valley.
