If you're looking for a good destination for winter sports for the coming winter, then your mind initially almost certainly is not going to Upper Austria.

First, the ski resorts in Upper austria are much less touristy, what you can notice at the waiting time at the modern lifts, such waiting times are scarce.
On the other hand you'll notice the prices. Because accommodations and ski passes are usually much more favorable than in other parts of the Alps.
