Beckenried is called the most beautiful village at the most beautiful lake. A nice holiday village, and starting point for various excursions, on foot, by mail car, boat or one of the many cable cars in the region.
Mountain Sports
The region has one of the largest hiking networks in Switzerland, and offers hiking trails for young and old, from short and easy walks to long challenging mountain hikes.
Water Sports
Around the lake there are all sorts of watersports, while the beautiful lake is also worth a stroll around the lake.
Recommendation
Worth seeing, and fun, are the opportunities to view the wildlife in nature, and Kulturhaus Ermitage, the former home of the poet Isabella Kaiser.
