Vacation in Bessans
Bessans is a paradise for hikers.
Bessans in the winter months is a paradise for cross country skiers, and in summer a paradise for hikers.
The village lies between the unique Vanoise Nature Park and the Italian border, and despite the influx of tourists, still retained its authentic character.
Not only can you enjoy the French Alps, the village forms a backdrop for art, culture, traditions and history.
Mountain Sports
A paradise for hikers, but also a suitable destination if you want to enjoy during the summer months of other mountain sports.
Around the village are some very beautiful, but sometimes difficult hiking trails, such as the route to La Pierre aux Pieds (2,750 meters) and the route to Pointe de la Met (3,041 meters).
Definitely not for inexperienced hikers, but routes with great satisfaction.
Water Sports
Near the village is a landscaped lake where you can swim very well. However there is only supervision at the lake in the months of July and August.
Parc national de la Vanoise.
Without doubt, the biggest attraction and landmark, is the near the village located Parc National de la Vanoise.
A unique nature, that for more than 50 years has a protected status.
