Vacation in Chamrousse

Chamrousse is excellent destination for summer holidays.
Chamrousse was built as a ski station in 1952, and was host to the Olympics in 1968. The village itself, however, has been inhabited since the mid-19th century.

Although primarily a destination for the winter, you can also spend an excellent summer vacation here, amidst the magnificent French mountains.

Mountain Sports
Because the village is situated in the mountains, here are extensive opportunities available for various mountain sports.

So you can obviously excellent hike and go mountain biking, as well as climbing on the Via Ferrata, horse riding and paragliding.

Water Sports
Water is in the mountains an opportunity for various activities. So you can fish well here, and the lakes Robert and Achard are a very nice cooling.

Also you can go canyoning, or listen to the sparkling waters of the waterfall Oursière.

Fun excursions are the farms Ferme de Loutas, Ferme de Montgardier or L'emeu d'Uriage, a farm with special and not everyday animals.
