Ebensee lies directly at the Feuerkogel.
Ebensee is a very nice holiday destination, thanks to its location directly at the Feuerkogel, which you can reach in just a few minutes from the valley station.
In the winter months, a destination where you can enjoy a real winter.
In the summer, an ideal starting point if you want to enjoy the mountains, the view and the beautiful Alpine flora.
Mountain Sports
The Feuerkogel is seen as the sunniest plateau in Upper Austria, and offers enormous opportunities for hiking at 1,600 meters.
Furthermore, you have from here a matchless view of the Traunsee, and the entire Salzkammergut.
For climbers, the region has much to offer, such as the Via Ferrata Alberfeldkogel / Höllengebirge.
Water Sports
The Traunsee naturally offers many water sports.
However there are another two small lakes where you can enjoy.
The Vorderer Langbathsee is 1.1 kilometers long and 400 meters wide, has drinking water quality.
The Hinterer Langbathsee is with 600 meters in length a bit smaller, and is protected nature reserve.
