The Eisacktal is a historically important region.
Eisacktal is one of the most beautiful valleys in order to spend the summer holidays, and extends south of the Brenner and the Austrian Wipptal, to Bozen.

The famous city Sterzing, lies only 15 km behind the Brenner, and forms the centerpiece of this beautiful but also historically important region.

Brixen and Klausen also have a rich history, and the region is also known for its vineyards, but mainly for the woods with Chestnut trees.
