The pilgrimage church Kaltenbrunn lies in the Kaunertal at an altitude of 1260 meters. Knight Erbo Schenkenberg was here in 1272. As penalty for a murder he committed to built a chapel. The chapel grew in the 14th century as a pilgrimage place for mercenaries.
