easy route
From the mountain station Goldried along the well-marked hiking trail through the Kals-Matrei-Törl to Mountain Station Blauspits (Bergbahnen Kals). Here you can down with the lift, or you along the same way back.
Badener Hütte
time: ± 5 hours
medium route
From Gruben to Brückchen, across the Tauern Bach and to Gruben. Along the path No. 921 through the Froßnitzbach (uphill). At 1725 meters you come to the Unteren Katal Alm. Further along the stream and along the road No. 921 to the Mitteldorfer Alm direction Zedlacher Almen. The road turns west and runs along a little lake direction Badener Hütte. At about 2320 meters altitude you reach a junction, and through the hairpin bends you will reach the Badener Hütte.
