Sportgastein is very cozy.
Sportgastein is the starting point for long hikes in an region with many huts and cabins, which offer products such as homemade bread, cheese and butter.

In the summer months 300 cows, 50 horses and about 1,400 sheep spend the warm days here. In early September the Schafabtrieb takes place with a big festival.

Mountain Sports
An ideal destination for long walks, such as to the Bockhartsee, to the Niedersachsenhaus and to the Hagener Hütte.

Water Sports
The region has some very nice pools and bathing lakes, and opportunities to enjoy the thermal.

Nassfelder Almenfest.
The Nassfelder Almen Fest, the traditional pasture festival in mid-August, with homemade specialties, and in good weather you can go up with the Goldberg Bahn.
