Stans lies at the feet of the Karwendel.
Stans offers nature and culture in a village as you will not easily find anywhere else.

The sunny village lies at the feet of the Karwendel, surrounded by romantic rocks, dazzling waterfalls, emerald green water and a fantastic view over a pristine mountain scenery.

Two historically important buildings, are the great characteristics. The monastery St. Georgenberg and castle Tratzberg, one of the most beautiful castles in Austria.

Mountain Sports
Many opportunities for mountain bikers and hikers. Especially the walk to the monastery, by the gap, is very impressive.

During this walk you can see the oldest pilgrimage site in the country.

Water Sports
The outdoor pool has a total water surface area of 458 m², a sunbathing area of 4,000 m², a slide and a large playground for children.

Monastery St. Georgenberg.
Visit the Wolfskalmm, directly at the center of Stans, and Monastery St. Georgenberg. The monastery of St. Georgenberg can be reached, after a walk through the gorge, and was built in 950 ad. It is the oldest pilgrimage site in the country.
