Franziskusweg
Between Niederau and Oberau runs the Franziskusweg with artworks.
Schönangeralm
The Schönbergalm is located at the end of the valley, and is easily accessible along the footpath.
Markbachjochalm
The alm is located at 1500 meters, and from the mountain station within easy reach. The alm has a small petting zoo and a playground.
Großer Beil (2.309 meter)

medium route
From the Schönangeralm at the end of the valley. Follow the (sometimes steep) Kastensteig. Then down along the waterfall to the Gressensteinalm, and on to the Großer Beil.
Gratlspitz (1.893 meter)
From Thierbach through the Holzalmhöfe to Jausenstation Holzalm. From here up mountain to the Gratlspitz, with a wonderful view over Wildschönau.
Rosskopf (1.731 meter)
time: ± 3 hours
medium route
Rosskopf is reachable from the mountain station Markbachjoch Niederau. An interesting walk with a beautiful view.
