The beautiful ski resort Heiligenblut - Großglockner.
The enchanting village of Heiligenblut is located in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
The beautiful ski resort, runs from the village on to an altitude of over 2900 meters, and offers a multitude of beautiful and well maintained slopes.
The slopes are known for the spacious layout, and there is for everyone an appropriate slope to find. For experienced skiers, even marked ski routes are available.
Most runs are red, although there are also blue runs for beginners.
An additional advantage is the sunny location, so most slopes are all day in the sun.
Snow security is highly regarded here, and despite the natural snow security because of the high location, the ski resort offers modern snowmachines.
The view to the surrounding mountains and valleys is breathtaking, and you will certainly not regret staying in this beautiful region.
The ski resort is still a really authentically Austrian village, and the last village on the famous Grossglocknerstraße, before the road goes up the imposing mountains
The village has a small center, including two sports shops.
There are options for après ski, but not much. However there are very nice options for eating, often right on the slopes.
The restaurants are hospitable and let everyone know that you're welcome here.
In the village are a few pubs and bars, centered around the town square, near the cable car.
All in all this ski resort is highly recommended, hospitable, family-friendly and child friendly.
The "Snowland Club" and "Bobo Kids Club" are offering kids a lot of fun and entertainment through games and sports.
