Ski Resort Schmittenhöhe - Zell am See offers snow secure slopes with descents of 1000 meters, and 90% of the slopes can be snowed in. Winter hiking at 2,000 m, an art gallery in the snow, authentic mountain skihuts and modern restaurants, a half pipe, a permanent speed run, and carving capabilities complete a real winter feeling in a beautiful Ski Resort.

And art is at the Schmittenhöhe very highly regarded. One of the largest outdoor art galleries of Europe got 5 new art works. The huge exhibition of wooden sculptures along the slopes all over the Ski Resort is open all year round and is both with locals and guests enormously popular.

Innovations

New chain bahn, new lifts
Numerous alterations, improvements and extensions were realized in the summer. The new chain bahn is a good example of how innovation can greatly improve a Ski Resort and can provide even more comfort. Other lifts are improved or replaced.

Besides the many improvements, the Boarder and Freestyle Park (Rome Park Schmitten) is improved firmly, resulting in improved Jumps for example.
