Gschnitz is a green haven for hikers.
In summer, a green haven for hikers, in winter an area ideally suited for cross country skiing.

Gschnitz is located in the beautiful countryside and surrounded by high mountains like Kirchdach, Kirchdachspitze and the 3380 meters high Habicht.

You come here as a tourist, to enjoy the rest during the walk to the Laponesalm or halts your breath at the sight of pilgrimage church St. Magdalena.

Mountain Sports
Gschnitz is almost at the end of the valley, just the walk to the Laponesalm, brings you even closer to the end of the world, as you can experience on this beautiful walk yourself.

By the way, at the Laponesalm you can go further up, to make a true mountain trip.

Water Sports
Although the wild stream runs through the village, in itself a unique opportunity to enjoy water, you should still go to Steinach, if you want to go swimming.

St. Magdalena.
Worth seeing is St. Magdalene, the church which is built against the mountainside above the village.

The waterfall behind the village, at Gasthof Feuerstein, is absolutely worth it, the more you can walk via a bridge, over the waterfall.
