Vacation in Obernberg
Obernberg is a charming village.
One of the most famous villages in the Wipptal is undoubtedly Obernberg am Brenner.
Many vacationers who want to climb the mountain come to this charming village, to enjoy the beautiful mountains and climbing routes that are offered.
Another major attraction is the Obernberger See at 1600 meters altitude. An absolute gem of nature, and well worth the walk up.
Mountain Sports
A very nice holiday destination, if you want to go hiking or mountain biking in the summer.
Obernberg is located really ideal, creating a large number of hikes, but also high mountain tours.
Water Sports
Obernberger See. The largest natural lake in the Stubai Alps. A breathtaking surroundings and emerald green water. The lake is perhaps a little too cold to swim, for cooling down the crystal clear water is suitable. The best you can see the lake from a rowboat.
Mountain Sports
Although less known, probably due to less advertising than the more famous valleys, this region is one of the best destinations if you like hiking or mountain biking. Throughout the valleys there are hiking routes and trails for mountain biking, all well marked and maintained. Various climbing routes are available.
Water Sports
In a breathtaking mountain scenery, the parish church of St. Nikolaus stands on a hill. The church is dedicated to the patron saint against the dangers of high water and the patron saint of the poor.
