Ski Resort Avoriaz 1800 is located in the overwhelming ski region Portes du Soleil.
Avoriaz 1800 is one of the snowiest skiing areas in the Alps, and situated in the center of the largest Ski Resort in the world, Les Portes du Soleil. It is not the highest Ski Resort in the French Alps, but the top is directly above the quaint winter sports village.

We want to destroy a big prejudice. Avoriaz is often called the ugliest ski village, because they think that it is a mostly concrete village. However, precisely the opposite is true. The village is tastefully built, and has a unique atmosphere. The construction is known for the flawless blend into the surrounding mountains and countryside.

The village is car-free, at the entrance of the village are large parking areas, and is one of the less luxurious and therefore less expensive ski resorts in the Haute Savoie. From the parking you will be brought into the village by a horse-drawn sleigh, which is in itself already a unique experience.

The Ski Resort offer modern lifts and slopes are available for all abilities, which are always well prepared. The other facilities are very good, and plentiful. From the Ski Resort you can take the blue runs to Morzine skiing, where you can go skiing to Ski Resort Les Gets.

Impressive and challenging is the black mogul slope Les Chacanettes, allowing you to ski to Les Crossets from which you can ski to Champoussin.

One of the snowiest ski resorts, because in a typical winter here is an average of eight meters of snow. There is therefore almost no ski resorts that have such a high snow guarantee.

Avoriaz 1800 has an average snowfall of 8 meters, and is very snow-sure.
