The impressive ski resort Châtel - Portes du Soleil.
Châtel is a nice resort in the largest ski resort in the world, Les Portes du Soleil. Les Portes du Soleil is located in France and in Switzerland, and offers up to 650 kilometers of slopes.

Through the impressive area Super-Châtel you can ski or snowboard to La Chapelle d'Abondance and continue to Torgon, or south to Morgins. Even with the ski bus you get comfortable in the other ski resorts of Les Portes du Soleil.

The village is a real skiing village, full of life and activity, and with a very nice area with lots of shops, bars and restaurants, and nightclubs. The only thing annoying sometimes in the center, is the car traffic that especially during rush hour can be quite busy.

Very pleasant is the valley station, in the middle of the village, and therefore from everywhere very easily accessible. The other base stations, as Linga, are easy to reach with own transport or by ski bus, and are usually some quieter than the lift in the center.

Also very nice are the ski passes. With the ski pass, you have access to 58 lifts and 72 different slopes. So much variety, and you can therefore get full advantage of the beautiful white snowy mountains.

With the ski pass of Les Portes du Soleil, you get more slopes and lifts, but it is also more expensive.

Châtel is a nice ski resort with lots of variety.
